It was found in New Orleans, LA circa 2017 and purchased for $11k. Can you imagine? After the right people saw it a Saudi prince bought it for $450m. People with no dog in the race will fight about it—that it is a fake; an understudy did it; & cet. But the smile, oh, that smile. You have seen it before. It is the most famous smile in the world and anyone involved in art worth their salt will recognise it. "Non sono un pittore," he once told The Pope. Imagine if he was!
